Job Description

JOB STATEMENT:

As a Product Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital platforms and tools. Working at the intersection of business, operations, technology, and digital innovation, you will spearhead the development of product roadmaps that not only align with our overarching business strategy but also catalyze growth and enhance user satisfaction.

Your leadership will drive the transformation of our client-facing platforms, ensuring they not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of the market and our customers. This role demands a unique blend of strategic vision, technical acumen, and a user-centric approach to product development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive product roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives that deliver value to our clients and support business objectives;
• Leading the ideation, technical development, and the launch of innovative product features and enhancements, focusing on optimizing user experience and achieving operational excellence;
• Acting as a champion for user research, leveraging insights to drive product decisions and ensuring that solutions meet the high expectations of our clients;
• Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of agile methodologies and a culture of experimentation and innovation;
• Performing discovery on topics to gather information for requirements and begin for further analysis efforts;
• Assessing value and prioritizing stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on maximum value and alignment with product strategy;
• Providing backlog management and prioritization, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories;
• Ensuring that the development team understands items in the backlog and obtain clarity on ambiguous items with the intent to share with the development team as necessary;
• Prioritizing activities according to user needs while taking into consideration IT constraints and relationships with external partners;
• Continuously making improvements and fixes to the product to enhance the customer experience; and
• Informing and influencing stakeholders of the initiative's progress and solution status, effectively sharing the product vision and complex situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years' experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager
• 5+ years’ experience within the Investment Industry
• Product Owner / Manager Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner)
• Extensive experience in a fast moving/agile environment continually improving multiple products
• Experienced with prioritization methods (e.g. Value vs Effort, RICE)
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative thinker with a vision
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
• Ability to work with cross functional teams
• Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience
• Knowledge of Dataphile is an asset
